Ukraine’s Infrastructure Minister says when Tesla could enter Ukrainian market

"We want a Tesla factory to be located in Ukraine and manufacture electric vehicles not only for Ukrainian, but also for the European market. However, we will be able to start full-fledged negotiations only after the parliament adopts the bill on 15-year strategy for the electric vehicle market development in Ukraine, which covers not only electric vehicle manufacturing, but also manufacturing of lithium ion batteries, lithium mining, construction of electric vehicle manufacturing plant. It’s a comprehensive document, and as soon as it is approved, we will be able to start full-fledged negotiations with investors," Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan told a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, the world companies already show interest, "but they are waiting for the law, which, I hope, will be passed in the Parliament in the near future."
