Construction volumes in Ukraine increased by almost 3% in first half of 2018

The volume of construction works in Ukraine increased by almost 3% in the first half of 2018.

Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Lev Partskhaladze wrote this on his Facebook page.

"The results of the construction industry for the first half of 2018 - the volume of construction works rose by almost 3%. Ukrainian enterprises completed construction works for UAH 48 billion. The index of construction products to the corresponding period in 2017 amounted to 102.8%," Deputy Minister of Regional Development Lev Partskhaladze said.

Thus, the deputy minister summed up that the construction industry developed steadily and demonstrated a positive result.

"The index of construction of engineering structures was 107.5%, buildings - 98.8%, including residential buildings - 97.7% and non-residential buildings - 100%," he said.

Partskhaladze added that the leaders in terms of growth rates were Ivano-Frankivsk (141.5%), Odesa (133.8%) and Chernivtsi (122.4%) regions.
