Ukraine is third largest poultry meat supplier to EU

Over five months of 2018, Ukraine exported 50,138 tons of poultry meat to the EU countries.
As Priamyi Ukrainian TV channel reports with reference to Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, Ukraine is third largest poultry meat supplier to the European Union. In addition, the exports increased by 90% compared with the same period in 2017.
Ukraine follows Thailand (123,894 tons since the beginning of the year) and Brazil (110,763 tons).
At the same time, the Thailand’s poultry meat exports to the EU grew by 13.2%, while the Brazil’s exports shrinked by 41.9%.
Since the beginning of the year, the EU member states have imported more than 320,000 tons of poultry meat, having reduced deliveries by 8% compared to January-May last year.
