Fight against customs scams could bring up to UAH 40 bln this year - Groysman

The fight against shadow schemes at Ukraine's customs could bring UAH 30-40 billion to the state budget this year, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.

He said this live on the 112 Ukraine television channel on Thursday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I think that this year it will be possible to get UAH 30-40 billion from the fight against shadow schemes at the customs [...] Our priority is to fill the state budget," Groysman said.

He added that the fight against shadow schemes at the customs brought UAH 79 billion to the state budget last year, although it was expected to get UAH 35-50 billion.
