Canada implements 11 technical assistance projects in Ukraine - Kubiv

The Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry has registered 11 international technical assistance projects worth 137.5 million Canadian dollars, which Canada implements in Ukraine

Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister – Economic Development and Trade Minister Stepan Kubiv said this at a joint briefing with Canadian Minister of International Development Marie-Claude Bibeau in Kyiv on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As of July 1, 2018, the Economic Development Ministry registered 11 technical assistance projects of Canada in Ukraine, with a total budget of 137.5 million Canadian dollars," Kubiv said.

He also noted that Canada launched an assistance program for Ukraine immediately after the declaration of Ukraine's independence. This assistance aims at developing democracy, strengthening the rule of law and supporting a favorable business environment.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the implementation of Ukrainian reforms and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries.
