Ukraine, Turkey plan to construct An-188 aircraft

The state-owned enterprise Antonov (part of the State Concern Ukroboronprom) and the Turkish Aerospace Industry plan to establish a joint venture to manufacture An-188 STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) transport aircraft.
This is reported by the press service of the Ukroboronprom.
"On Monday, July 16, the negotiations were held with the delegation of the Turkish Aerospace Industry (TAI) at the Farnborough International Airshow 2018. As a result, the parties confirmed their principled interest in continuing cooperation on this project. The Turkish delegation will soon visit the state-owned enterprise Antonov to finalize the legal documents on formation of a joint venture for design, construction and testing of An-188 aircraft," the statement reads.
Pursuant to the legislation, these documents will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for consideration.
