A representative of the World Bank office in Ukraine told this to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"On July 19, 2018, a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed in the office of the World Bank between the World Bank office for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, the Regional State Administrations of Kyiv, Lviv and Mykolaiv regions, and the Justice Ministry on the cooperation under the five-year ‘Ukraine Transparent Land Resources Management Support’ programme of the World Bank and the EU," according to the World Bank representative office.
In May 2018, the EU and the World Bank announced the launch of the five-year program to support transparent land management in Ukraine. The programme will be launched in two pilot regions – Kyiv and Mykolaiv. The program envisages technical, consultative, legal and educational assistance to agricultural land owners.
According to the World Bank, since the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land was introduced, the rental value in Ukraine dropped at least fivefold.
