EBRD to provide EUR 10 mln loan to Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide a 7-year loan worth EUR 10 million to PJSC Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill for modernization so that to reduce CO2 emissions.
“The loan worth EUR 10 million [is provided] for a 7-year period to the leading Ukrainian manufacturer of cardboard, corrugated paper and paper products. The project complies with the EU Best Available Techniques (BAT) for the production of cellulose, paper and cardboard. The reduction of CO2-equivalent emissions will reach 11,000 tonnes per year,” the EBRD said in a press release available to Ukrinform.
The EBRD is the largest international financial investor in Ukraine. Since the bank launched activities in Ukraine in 1993, its total commitments have amounted to almost EUR 12.1 billion in about 400 projects.
