Kubiv: Ukraine’s GDP growth expected to reach about 3% in upcoming months
First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv stated this when presenting the government's report for the first half of 2018 at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The positive dynamics is expected to continue until the end of 2018, the GDP growth is expected at 3.2%. Accordingly, there are three possible scenarios of economic growth in 2019-2020. They are of strategically operational nature of positive changes. According to the baseline scenario, GDP is expected to grow by 3.2% in 2018, 3% in 2019, 3.8% in 2020, and 4.1% in 2021. At the same time, the World Bank's forecasts are better, while we proceed from real calculations,” said Kubiv.
As to domestic market prices, the vice prime minister noted that according to government forecasts, prices will increase by 7.4% in 2019, and by 5% in 2020.
