Nasalyk: No reasons to raise natural gas prices for population

Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk says that at present there are no grounds for raising natural gas prices for the population.
"There are no grounds for raising the gas price for the population. At the same time, this is a question for the prime minister, it's a political issue," Nasalyk said at a press briefing on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to him, only 3% of the total volume of natural gas sold to the population is supplied from abroad.
“Domestic production makes up 97%,” Nasalyk stressed.
According to him, if one calculates all components of the natural gas price for the population, then it could even be reduced by 5-6%.
