NBU to focus on liberalization of foreign exchange regulation

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in 2018-2019 will continue its policy of liberalization of foreign exchange regulation and development of non-cash economy, the central bank’s press service reports.

"The Central Bank in 2018-2019 will focus on the full implementation of projects that have already passed important stages of development: liberalization of foreign exchange regulation, development of non-cash economy, corporate governance at state-owned banks, and raising protection of creditors' rights," reads the report.

Also, NBU defined the SPLIT project, protection of rights of financial services’ consumers and financial inclusion, as the main project of the Comprehensive Program of Ukraine’s Financial Sector Development until 2020, which will require significant efforts and amendments to the legislative framework.
