Wages of forestry workers vary throughout Ukraine - Volodymyr Bondar

Forestry workers in various regions of Ukraine have large wage-rate differences, although an average monthly wage in this sector totals about UAH 8,000.
Deputy Chairman of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine Volodymyr Bondar told this to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"An average wage in the forestry industry is about UAH 8,000. There are quite high salaries totaling almost 20,000 on average and low salaries at the level of minimum wage, especially in the east and south, which is wrong," Bondar said.
According to him, forestry workers of Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv and Lviv regions receive the highest wages.
