Coordination Council for Digital Economy Development begins its work

Stepan Kubiv stressed that the task of the Coordination Council is to organize the implementation of an action plan for the digitalization of economy and society for 2018 and the further establishment of efficient cooperation in this direction between government, business, public organizations and society.

“At present digitalization is the key promising direction of development of the Ukrainian economy and society. But its effectiveness depends on the clarity of tasks – mission and the vision of our cooperation. The well-formed process is a great step to success,” said Kubiv.

He stressed that the Coordination Council and its working groups should make qualitative proposals for creating needed conditions for the effective development and use of Ukraine's scientific and technical potential in the field of digital infrastructure development, in particular, in terms of ensuring broadband access to the Internet throughout Ukraine.

The Coordination Council for the Development of the Digital Economy and Society is a temporary advisory body at the Economic Development and Trade Ministry. Its task is to ensure the implementation of the Concept and the Plan for the Development of the Digital Economy and Society of Ukraine until 2020.

The Coordination Council consists of central executive authorities, representatives of public organizations, business and scientific institutions.
