Ukraine increased electricity production by 2.2% in June

In June 2018, Ukraine produced 11.655 billion kWh of electricity, which is 2.2% more than in June 2017.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.

According to the Energy Ministry, 56% of the total volume was generated by Ukraine's State Enterprise "National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom", 34% - by thermal generation, 7% - HPP, and 3% - other sources.

At the same time, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry recorded the decrease in coal production in June 2018 compared to June 2017. Thus, in June 2.5 million tons of coal were mined, which is 3.5% less than a year ago.

At the same time, mines in state ownership reduced production by 15.3%, and private enterprises - by 1.7%.
