Pilot project on land auctions online to kick off in July-August – Nefyodov

First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Nefyodov said this at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"On June 20, the government approved amendments to resolution No.688 to start the lease of state-owned land plots through the ProZorro.Sale electronic platform. This is the first step to show that land market in Ukraine can be transparent, efficient, of high quality and that these assets can work for the people of Ukraine. We expect that these auctions will begin soon, next month or in a month," Nefyodov said.

According to him, this will enable the government to determine the fair price of land lease by creating competition and conduct bids fairly and transparently.
