Ukraine, Moldova to synchronize their energy systems with ENTSO-E

Ukraine and Moldova are interested in ensuring the synchronous operation of energy systems of the two countries with the European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSO-E).

This issue was discussed at a meeting of Ukrainian Deputy Minister for European Integration Natalia Boyko and Minister of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova Chiril Gaburici, the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry reports.

"During the meeting, the parties stressed the mutual interest in achieving the synchronous operation of the energy systems of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova with ENTSO-E. Natalia Boyko noted that this direction is one of the strategic priorities for Ukraine, which is envisaged in the Energy Strategy of Ukraine until 2035," reads the report.

The official also stressed that the Ukrainian side fulfills the requirements without any delay, in particular within the framework of the agreement on the conditions for the future integration of the energy systems of Ukraine and Moldova with ENTSO-E.

Also, Ukraine and Moldova stated they will consolidate their efforts and coordinate their intentions, as envisaged in the bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation and on joint actions aimed at ensuring European integration processes.
