Groysman: Government programs efficient tools to support farmers

He stated this during the Government Question Hour meeting held in Parliament today, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Price adjustment has never yielded a positive result for farmers. Increasing production, creating conditions for growth and market saturation is an efficient tool,” Groysman said.

According to him, government development programs aimed at preserving and increasing the livestock to saturating the market with domestic agricultural products are the only tools to support farmers.

The prime minister reminded that various programs, starting from direct targeted assistance to farmers to reduction of equipment cost and assistance in the construction of livestock breeding complexes, were introduced this year.

Groysman also called on farmers to use the opportunities, as they are an impetus and a guarantee for the growth of the agricultural sector and the whole economy.
