Trade turnover between Ukraine and Latvia grew by 37% in first quarter of this year - Klimkin

In the first quarter of 2018, a trade turnover between Ukraine and Latvia increased by 37%.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said this during a joint press conference with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"We have a very good trade growth. It increased by 37% in the first quarter of this year," he said.

According to the minister, the work is underway so that investors of both countries - Ukrainian in Latvia and Latvian in Ukraine - can use this dynamics.

In addition, Klimkin notes that there are other contacts with Latvian colleagues in economy, transport, human relations. In particular, the education reform carried out in Latvia gave Ukraine "the opportunity to build logic" and its reform in this sector, the minister said.
