All new roads in Ukraine will be put into operation after they pass quality tests, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.

He said this while inspecting the repair of a section of the M-12 road, which is part of the Go Highway corridor, according to the government portal.

"We will accept the roads when all quality tests are conducted. We will not pay for bad quality. There is no doubt that the quality of work laid down in the technological process gives the opportunity to get a guarantee," Groysman said.

He underlined the significant intensification of road infrastructure development in Ukraine. "They were building roads by kilometers, but we build roads by thousands of kilometers. In five years all regional centers will be connected by good roads. We need about UAH 300 billion for this purpose," Groysman said.

Groysman inspected road works on the M-12 road Stryi-Ternopil-Kropyvnytsky-Znamianka, a section of which is located in Ternopil and Vinnytsia regions and is part of the Go Highway transport corridor connecting the ports of the Black and Baltic Seas. The length of the road section is about 240 kilometers.

Go Highway consists of the highways M-09 Ternopil-Lviv-Rava Ruska; M-12 Stryi-Ternopil-Kropyvnytsky-Znamianka (Ternopil-Uman); M-05 Kyiv-Odesa (Bila Tserkva-Uman-Odesa); M-14 Odesa-Melitopol-Novoazovsk (Odesa-Mykolaiv-Kherson).

UAH 4 billion was allocated for the work on the project this year. Work has already begun at 12 sections of the route, including at four sections of the M-12 highway.
