Ukrainian enterprises completed construction works worth UAH 26 bln in January-April 2018

Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Lev Partskhaladze stated this, the ministry’s press service reports.

“The construction industry in Ukraine shows stable results this year. In the first four months of 2018, Ukrainian enterprises carried out construction works worth UAH 26 billion. We expect that the industry will maintain positive indicators throughout the year, and at least there will be no downfall," he said.

In particular, over the reporting period, the index of the construction of engineering facilities made up 100%, construction of buildings 98.6% (non-residential buildings – 96.6%, residential buildings – 101.1%).

In the context of the regions, the leaders in performance of construction works were Kharkiv region (UAH 2.9 billion), Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 2.9 billion), Odesa region (UAH 2.3), and the city of Kyiv (UAH 6.6 billion). The leaders in construction growth were Zaporizhzhia region (132.1%) and Chernivtsi region (130.8%).

Partskhaladze added that new construction, reconstruction, and technical re-equipment made up 82.6% of the total volume of completed construction works, major and current repairs – 8.8% and 8.6% respectively.
