President Petro Poroshenko stated this during his visit to Nibulon Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant in Mykolaiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Ukraine is now among the top three grain exporters in the world," he said.
Poroshenko reminded that the share of these crops in Ukraine’s total exports reached 15% last year.
He noted that weather conditions are "rather optimistic" for the current year and the level of grain exports will not be reduced.
At the same time, Poroshenko said that Ukraine has a shortage of grain storage capacities, which, according to experts, at present amount to 10-15 million tonnes.
