German economy minister vows to closely cooperate with Ukraine

German Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier is ready to work closely with the Ukrainian authorities to improve the economic situation in Ukraine.
He said this in a comment to an Ukrinform correspondent ahead of his visit to Kyiv.
"We will work very closely so as to improve the situation in Ukraine," Altmaier said.
He said that he had held in Aachen "very good talks with representatives of the Ukrainian government, the Ukrainian president, and the foreign minister," and these talks would continue in Kyiv.
Altmaier intends to visit Kyiv and Moscow on May 13-14. He plans to hold talks with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Energy Minister Ihor Nasalyk in Kyiv.
