Representatives of Ukraine and Macedonia have discussed the enhancement of trade and economic cooperation and agreed to get ready for a forthcoming round of FTA talks.

This is reported by the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine.

"On May 7, Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine – Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska met with Mr. Stole Zmejkoski, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Macedonia to Ukraine, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. During the meeting, the parties discussed the strengthening of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, business-to-business contacts and holding of a meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Macedonian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in the near future," the statement reads.

As Natalia Mykolska noted, recent Ukraine's accession to the Regional Convention on Pan-Euro-Mediterranean preferential rules of origin will promote bilateral trade between our countries as Macedonia is also a party to the Convention.
