Groysman expects parliament to cancel e-declarations for civic activists

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expects that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will finally approve the abolition of mandatory electronic declaration for representatives of non-governmental organizations.

He said this, while opening an event as part of the Open Government Week, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I believe that the sooner it is canceled, the better it will be. I must admit that such a decision was erroneous or, perhaps, emotional. We should recognize this. I expect that the parliament will manage to do it," Groysman said.

As reported, the bill on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Prevention of Corruption" on release from responsibility for certain categories of persons, which provides for the abolishment of e-declaration for civic activists, was registered in the Parliament on March 30.
