NBU: Ukraine’s exports decrease 4.1% in March

The volume of Ukraine’s exports decreased by 4.1% in March 2018 year-over-year and amounted to $3.7 billion, while the growth of imports of goods slowed to 0.7% year-over-year and reached $4.4 billion.

This is reported by the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine.

"In March 2018, the current account deficit made up $763 million, first of all, due to scheduled payments related to the servicing of public debt. Since the beginning of the year, the current account deficit totaled $603 million (in January-February 2017- $357 million). The volume of exports decreased by 4.1% in March year-over-year and reached $3.7 billion. The volume of imports of goods in March made up $4.4 billion. The growth of imports of goods slowed significantly (down to 0.7% year-over-year),” reads the report.
