“In January-March 2018, 1,120.9 million passengers used transportation services in Ukraine, or 97.4% of the volume for the same period in 2017 (excluding the temporarily occupied territories in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and some parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions),” reads the report.
In particular, the number of passengers carried by rail in the first three months of 2018 made up 36.7 million, which is 4% less than in January-March 2017.
A total of 483 million passengers were carried by motor vehicles, which is 4.6% less than in January-March 2017.
Transportation of passengers by water transport decreased by 72.7% compared with the same period last year. Only 0.001 million passengers used this transport.
At the same time, transportation of passengers by air transport rose to 6,152 million, which is 4.5% higher than in the same period last year.
