The State Fund for Radioactive Waste Management will resume its work on July 1, 2018.

Head of the State Agency on the Exclusion Zone Management Vitaliy Petruk said this at a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"On July 1, the Fund launches its targeted work," said Petruk.

The State Fund for Radioactive Waste Management was established in 2009 and was funded with money coming from taxes and fees paid by radioactive waste producers (SE NNEGC “Energoatom"). In 2010 and 2015, certain amendments were introduced to the legislation, which actually stopped the existence of the Fund.
