PM Groysman promises to provide massive support to agricultural sector
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during an hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We are planning to launch large-scale programs to support the agricultural sector. Why? Because the price for meat grew most in last year. Economic mismanagement led to the fact that we faced a serious problem – the African swine fever. Nobody struggle against this phenomenon before, but we have started to address this issue seriously," Groysman said.
According to him, the Government began to allocate investment support to households. "We will allocate UAH 2,500 to every household for livestock and UAH 1,500 - for a dairy herd. We will do everything for the Ukrainian agricultural equipment to be sold but not imported," he assured.
The head of the government is sure that all of that will contribute to the creation of new jobs and a real economic growth.
