Ukrainian enterprises spent over UAH 9 bln on innovation last year - statistics

In particular, UAH 5.9 billion (64.7% of the total amount of innovation costs) was spent on the purchase of machines, equipment and software, UAH 2.2 billion (23.8%) on internal and external research and development, and UAH 21.8 million (0.2%) on the purchase of other external knowledge (purchase of new technologies). 

The service said that the main source of funding for innovation costs was the funds of companies - UAH 7.704 billion.

The amount of domestic and foreign investors' funds stood at UAH 380.9 million, loans - UAH 594.5 million, and state and local budgets - UAH 322.9 million.

In 2017, innovations were introduced by 88.5% of enterprises engaged in innovation activity. In particular, innovative types of products were by 53.3%, and new technological processes by 67.9%.
