State Service for Consumer Protection, World Bank discuss projects on supporting agriculture

Head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Volodymyr Lapa held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank, responsible for the development of cooperation in the agricultural sector.

This has been reported by the press service of the State Service for Consumer Protection.

The parties discussed current bilateral issues of operational capabilities to support the agriculture, based on the analytical and political dialogue between the World Bank and the Government of Ukraine.

In particular, the parities discussed the possibility of the World Bank’s assistance for Ukraine in the field of agriculture. The State Service for Consumer Protection expressed interest in facilitating the development of checkpoints across the customs border, supporting small and medium business, the development of laboratories etc.

The participants in the meeting agreed to maintain an ongoing dialogue on these issues to deepen cooperation and obtain the results of the tasks set.
