Ukraine is in constant dialogue with the Lithuanian initiators of the Marshall Plan for Ukraine in order to combine it with the EU plans to support the Eastern Partnership countries.

"We are in constant dialogue with our Lithuanian partners, who initiated the Marshall Plan for Ukraine. Currently, their initiatives are being combined with the EU plans to support the Eastern Partnership countries," Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze said in an interview with the Obozrevatel Ukrainian media outlet.

The Marshall Plan is a very ambitious task that needs serious consideration not only from the point of view of the proposal, but also from the point of view of our ability to implement it, the official said.

The Vice Prime Minister specified that Ukraine's ability to use the funds and the possibility of prompt implementation of reforms enabling to speed up the coordination of this plan should be taken into account.

As reported, the Marshall Plan for Ukraine, an initiative to support Ukraine by the European Union, provides for EU’s financial assistance and investment in Ukraine, particularly EUR 5 billion in annual support for reforms, which should be aimed at the economic growth and development of the country.
