Zaporizhzhia International Airport sees almost 30% rise in passenger flow in Q1 2018

Zaporizhzhia International Airport saw an increase in passenger flow by 29.6% in January-March 2018 compared with the same period last year.

The airport’s head office told this to Ukrinform.

“Zaporizhzhia International Airport serviced 40,792 passengers in January-March 2018, which is 9,322 passengers more than in the same period last year, when the airport serviced 31,470 passengers: passenger flow grew by 29.6%,” the airport’s head office said.

Passenger flow at the airport over the reporting period grew primarily due to an increase in the number of flights from Zaporizhzhia, which number in the first quarter of 2018 increased by 26.6% from the first quarter in 2017: from 566 to 717.

The municipal enterprise Zaporizhzhia International Airport was established in January 2013 by transferring the integral property complex of the state enterprise Zaporizhzhia International Airport to the municipal property of Zaporizhzhia City Council.
