Average monthly nominal wage in Donetsk region grows 24% in February 2018

“The average nominal wage of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions, organizations and its subdivisions (with the number of employees of 10 and more people) in Donetsk region (excluding temporarily occupied territories) in February 2018 amounted to UAH 8,402. Compared with the previous month, January 2018, the amount of average wage grew by 0.2%, compared with February 2017 - by 23.8%,” reads the report.

At the same time, the average monthly real wage (taking into account inflation and paid taxes) in February 2018 decreased by 0.6% from the previous month, and increased by 7.1% from February 2017.

In January-February 2018, the average monthly wage totaled UAH 8,396. Nominal wages increased by 26.4% compared with the same period last year, while real wages grew by 9.1%.

The highest average salary in Donetsk region in February 2018 was received by employees of the public administration sector (UAH 10,340), the coal industry (UAH 10,248), and the metallurgical complex (UAH 10,076).

The average monthly salaries totaling UAH 5,000-6,000 in Donetsk region in February 2018 were recorded in the education sector (UAH 6,086), the light industry (UAH 5,523), the healthcare and social work spheres (UAH 5,313), and in the agriculture (UAH 5,223).
