Ukraine, France can increase mutual trade turnover up to $3 billion
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said this during a meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, the Governmental portal reported.
"France is a reliable strategic partner of Ukraine. A leading position of Paris on the territorial integrity of Ukraine is important for us. We sincerely appreciate France's support for the sovereignty of Ukraine. The trade turnover between our countries was about $2 billion in 2017. I'm sure that we can increase it by a third - up to $3-3.5 billion," Groysman said.
In turn, Jean-Yves Le Drian stresses that France retains strong support for Ukraine and is determined to continue to maintain Ukraine's integrity and sovereignty.
"France is also ready for economic cooperation, it can be useful for both sides," the minister said.
In this context, the parties agreed to intensify their work within the framework of joint commissions and committees on key issues - agrarian sector, energy, civil service reform, etc.
