About UAH 50 billion to be spent on roads this year – prime minister

A program for the development of Ukrainian roads provides for about UAH 50 billion in 2018.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said this at a meeting regarding priority tasks for the regional development of the Ukrainian Carpathians in the town of Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Yesterday we approved a plan for the development of Ukrainian roads. This year we will have UAH 50 billion," the prime minister said.
He recalled that the Road Fund had been operating since January 1; it provided more than UAH 10 billion for the regions.
"For five years, we have to connect all central cities of the regions with quality roads," Groysman stressed, adding that this plan was based on real finance, tasks and indicators.
