Qatar ready to provide Ukraine with liquefied gas – Poroshenko

He stated this following the official visit to the State of Qatar, the press service of the head of state reported.

"We have agreed that Qatar is ready to provide us with liquefied natural gas," Poroshenko said.

At the same time, he adds that the LNG deliveries from Qatar are possible via the terminal in Poland and the Turkish route through the Bosporus.

The head of state notes that negotiations on this issue will be held in the near future.

The president also stresses that "these sources of the liquefied gas supplies from a reliable partner of Ukraine – Qatar will create unique opportunities for improving our energy security."

As Ukrinform reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is on an official visit to the State of Qatar on March 20.
