Government injected UAH 207 bln into state banks since 2014

The Cabinet of Ministers has injected UAH 207 billion of capital into state-owned banks since 2014.
Center for Economic Policy (CES) stated this in a press release available to Ukrinform.
“Since 2014, state-owned banks have been additionally capitalized by UAH 207 billion,” reads the press release.
According to the document, that this is about UAH 4.9 thousand of additional government debt per person.
Center for Economic Policy is an independent policy think tank founded in May 2015. Its goal is to support reforms in Ukraine in order to achieve sustainable economic growth.
