Finance Ministry to complete creation of Financial Intelligence Service this year

He stated this at the 14th annual investment conference in Kyiv on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"As for the Financial Intelligence Service, there is now a fierce struggle in the country. We are ready to establish this institution, not only because it improves the business climate, but also because it solves other issues. At the moment there is no single institution that would be trusted and that would investigate financial crimes. The creation of the Financial Intelligence Service is our plan for this year," Danyliuk said.

He noted that a transparent refund of VAT has already been launched and a single-window system at the customs had been already been launched.

"This allows us to eliminate corruption in some spheres, but the real influence will be visible when we come to institutional reform - the replacement of people. Therefore, people in the State Fiscal Service need to be changed, and this is our plan for this year," Danyliuk said.
