During the annexation of Crimea, the Russian Federation has illegally extracted over 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas from the Odesa gas field.

Chairman of the board of the state-owned joint-stock company Chornomornaftogaz Svitlana Nezhnova said this on the air of Hromadske TV.

When asked whether Russia plans to stop gas production at the Odesa gas field, she replied that there had been no relevant statements from official Russian authorities.

"As of now, Russia has illegally produced 7 billion 200 million cubic meters of gas, half of which were produced at the Odesa gas field (3.5 billion)," Nezhnova said.

"It is the economic zone of Ukraine, and Russia has known that from the very beginning of the annexation of Crimea. As trials at the international courts are looming, Russia could take some measures," she added.

According to Nezhnova, Russia has drilled unlawfully eleven wells during the annexation of Crimea.

The assets of the state-owned joint-stock company Chornomornaftogaz, which were left on the territory of Crimea, annexed by Russia, will be declared internationally wanted.
