The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will launch in Kharkiv an infrastructure project for the renovation of the city's trolleybus fleet.

The Kharkiv Regional State Administration informed this following a meeting of Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svitlychna with Head of the EBRD's office in Ukraine Sevki Acuner.

"We managed to restore the trust of our international partners. We agreed on the possibility of introducing a new infrastructure project - the renovation of the trolleybus fleet in the city of Kharkiv. I would like to thank the leadership of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for their confidence in the east of Ukraine," Yulia Svitlychna said.

At the same time, Sevki Acuner announced the EBRD's serious intentions to continue its work in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibility of resuming the program of concessional lending to small and medium-sized businesses.

As knows, the EBRD’s office in Kharkiv region was opened in 2016. The program to support small and medium-sized businesses is implemented in the region now. In addition, in 2017, the President of Ukraine authorized the Finance Ministry of Ukraine to sign an agreement on cooperation with the EBRD in the development of the Kharkiv subway.
