European Commission: Ukrainian agricultural exports to EU break records

In 2017, the value of agricultural exports from Ukraine to the EU increased by EUR 1.2 billion (+ 27%). Along with Indonesia, this is the most significant indicator of growth in exports to the EU countries.

Such data are contained in the latest monthly trade report, released by the European Commission on February 19, Ukrinform learnt from the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

Over the past 12 months, the EU imported the largest amount of agri-food products from Brazil (worth EUR 11.8 billion), the United States (EUR 11 billion), Argentina (EUR 5.7 billion). This list also includes such countries as Ukraine, China, Indonesia, Switzerland and Turkey. The value of imports in the EU varies between EUR 4.5-5.5 billion for each of these countries.

At the same time, the exports of agri-food products of the European Union to Ukraine increased by more than EUR 200 million over the past 12 months.
