NBU buys $80.8 mln at second auction today

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) at the second foreign exchange auction today, February 7, bought $80.80 million, according to the press service of the central bank.
As a result of the auction, the minimum exchange rate of hryvnia was UAH 27.1050 per U.S. dollar, the maximum – UAH 27.12 per U.S. dollar, and the average weighted exchange rate – UAH 27.1182 per U.S. dollar.
Earlier, the NBU announced two foreign exchange auctions on February 7. The central bank planned to buy up to $30 million at the first action, and up to $100 million – at the second one. As a result of the first action, the NBU purchased $30 million at the average weighted exchange rate set at UAH 27.0971 per U.S. dollar.
