Vice PM Zubko outlines priorities of decentralization reform for 2018

The priority activities of the Ministry of Ukraine of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities for 2018 is the delegation of powers in field of land relations to local authorities, the launch of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the introduction of the Housing Code and the adoption of the Urban Development Code.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennady Zubko said this at the press conference on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"A very important issue is the delegation of powers in field of land relations to local authorities, the creation of united territorial communities, the launch of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the further creation of the apartment owners associations," Zubko said.

 He added that it is also important to develop a strategy for managing water resources, which has not been revised for a long time. In this context, the Vice Prime Minister noted that now the water supply in Donetsk and Luhansk regions is under threat.
