Volumes of the housing construction in Ukraine increased by 23%, and the number of refusals when obtaining permits decreased to 2%.
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Utilities Services Henadiy Zubko said this during a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We see a growth in the construction sector of Ukraine by 23% ... Today, we have only 2% of refusals, their number previously amounted to 50%," Zubko said.
He adds that Ukraine has approved 13 new construction standards, which will make it possible to introduce the European standards.
The vice prime minister notes the importance of deregulation in the field of construction and recalls that Ukraine climbed four positions in the Doing Business 2018 ranking of the World Bank, ranking 76th among the 190 economies studied.
