Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk said this during an hour of questions to the government, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"There is no shortage of coal in Ukraine. There is a surplus, despite the fact that the country has halved the consumption of anthracite," Nasalyk said.
He recalled that the state-owned PJSC "Centrenergo" was obliged to purchase for its stations the coal extracted by the state mines.
