The bilateral commodity turnover between Ukraine and Canada has increased by 60% after the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement entered into force in 2017.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this during a joint press conference with Governor General of Canada Julie Payette, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Last year, there were many achievements in our relations with Canada. The Free Trade Agreement entered into force, which significantly accelerates and creates better conditions for the development of trade and investment. We already have concrete results as our bilateral commodity turnover has grown by 60%," the President said.

According to Poroshenko, such a result testifies to the "revitalization" of the Ukrainian economy.
