UAH 1.7 bln budgeted for Verkhovna Rada functioning in 2018

This is stated in Appendix 3 to the State Budget of Ukraine for 2018, published on the parliament's website.

In particular, UAH 897 million is allocated for the legislative activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

UAH 771 million more is provided for maintenance and organizational, informational and analytical, procurement and technical support of the activities of the Parliament.

The coverage of the activities of the Verkhovna Rada through the means of television and radio broadcasting and financial support for publishing the Holos Ukrainy parliamentary newspaper received UAH 61 million.

As reported, the state budget for 2017 provided UAH 1.2 billion for the functioning of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Parliament adopted the State Budget of Ukraine for 2018 on December 7. The President signed it on December 30.
