Free trade area raises Ukraine's exports to Canada by 76%
He stated this at a joint press conference with Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland in Kyiv on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"This year alone, our exports to Canada grew by 76%, and imports from Canada rose by 93%, which is almost twice as much as a year ago," he said.
According to the minister, the growth of trade is linked to the launch of the free trade area between the two countries.
At the same time, Klimkin said he was convinced that the potential for the development of cooperation in this issue is "just enormous," because, according to him, the FTA currently deals only with goods, and then there should be services and investment.
As reported, the free trade area between Ukraine and Canada was launched on August 1, 2017.
