US Department of Treasury to help Ukraine to remove insolvent banks from market

The US Department of Treasury will continue to provide advisory services to the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Ukraine regarding the removal of insolvent banks from the market, the Fund’s press service reports.

"The US Department of the Treasury's Office of Technical Assistance (UST-OTA) will continue to provide advisory services on the removal of insolvent banks from the market of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Ukraine," reads the letter on the annual renewal of technical assistance.

The document was signed by Managing Director of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, Kostiantyn Vorushylin, and Director of the Banking and Financial Services Program off the U.S. Treasury, Paul Leonovich.

Responsibilities and tasks of the project will be outlined in the action plan that the parties will develop within 30 days after the day of signing this letter on the annual extension of the project.
