SBU chief: 1,052 Ukrainians already convicted of corruption offenses

A total of 2,799 criminal proceedings have been initiated over corruption charges upon the investigation of the Security Service of Ukraine, and 1,052 persons have already been convicted.
Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak said this at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"In 2016-2017, a total of 2,799 criminal proceedings have been initiated over corruption charges upon the investigation of the Security Service of Ukraine. As a result, 1,052 people have already been convicted, and 104 people, who were hiding from the justice system, have been found," he said.
